I read a thread here a while back on ice cream, and someone mentioned soy ice cream. I only find "Rice Dream" and "Rice Dream Pies," which actually turned out to taste pretty decent. I contacted the company, however, and they said all their frozen bars and pies are on SHARED equipment with peanuts. They sent me a list of their peanut-free foods: All varieties of Rice Dream beverages, soy dream beverages and power dream soy energy drinks. All varieties of Imagine Natural puddings and imagine natural garden vegetable soups and broths.
ok - so I just realized that this was dated last year, but I will still post what the company responds.
I heard back from Imagine Foods and the consumer rep told me that "on rare occasions" the shelf-stable rice milk is produced on lines that also use almonds. The equiptment is cleaned in between uses.
that's funny -- i never look at the date either.
Lovely -- I've been feeding this rice milk to my son for at least six months now. Actually, I just switched to Harmony Farms, but what gives? It's always something. Thank you.

I haven't heard of Harmony Farms. Are they safe? Where do you find it?

How funny that you should post this today! I just emailed the company about their rice beverages and then searched the boards and found your post. I will let you know if I get the same answer when I hear back.
