FYI, I was recently speaking w/ a Hostess rep about products, and I learned that the little mini muffins are all baked in the same pans, meaning the choc chip and blueberry ones may have cross contamination w/ tree nuts from the banana nut ones. I got the impression that they weren't necessarily cleaned in between. This info relates to their factory in Indiana - I live in Maryland (and our Hostess muffins come from Indiana), so that factory must have a huge distribution region.

My son loves the Entenmann's Little Bites Chocolate chip Muffins. (as a matter of fact it's his birthday party snack at the school when someone brings in cupcakes for a party) I also trust their labelling, and he's never had a reaction from them. I have bought the Hostess ones before too, but he likes the Entenmann's better anyway.

I just spoke with Entenmanns the other day and got an incredibly confusing response. First she read the little prepared speech, then I asked her about what exactly do they consider when they out a cross-contimation label -- same machinery, same plant, etc. She answered their realy was nor rprcific guidelines & she recommend we stay away from them just in case.

thanks for the heads up. Wanted to add that Entemmans (sp?) makes similar pre-packaged products (like muffins and brownie bites) and I do trust their labeling.
