A few weels ago, I posted on a hive (leg-behind the knees) reaction I had the next day from eating dinner at Outback. The primary care doctor blamed the food. (I was off all meds for 3 days prior to the reaction).
Last week, I saw an allergist and was given a steriod shot. (No meds for a week prior to shot). The shot lasted three days---I looked normal..not all red, no itching, etc.
This Monday, everything came back (rash, full body redness). (Was on all meds this time). The allergist refers me to a dermatologist because whatever was going on was now external.
Today I see a dermatologist and says it is an "external" allergic reaction (full body redness, rashes on legs/knees). I was given Desoximetasone and another lotion.
My dad made a valid point tonight...maybe it is my meds I'm taking (Clarinex and Singulair). I started the Singulair last year...and started to have the side effect symptoms listed a few months later (I read the list of Singulair symptoms for the 1st time tonight).
I have had the following symptoms: upper respitory infection, irritability, rashes, itching, sore throats, fatigue, etc.
Does anyone else have problems with Singulair??
My doctor had mentioned putting me on Singular. I researched the medicine well on the internet and found it can also cause extreme anxiety. Since, I already have an anxiety disorder, I elected not to take it.
The medicine could be causing your problems. Can you try switching to another medicine?
I took Zyrtec with no problems other than it did make me sleepy.

Ds (5) has been on Singulair since last September, I thought for awhile he had an odd cough, but it was hard to tell if it was the Singulair or all the damage they did to his asthma while in school. Whatever it was stopped after about two months, so I think it was just his asthma, overall I think Singulair has been a godsend, he's usually a mess by now from ragweed, and I haven't heard a thing.
Have you had liver enzymes drawn? Singulair can affect your liver, and liver problems can cause fatigue and rashes.
Good Luck.
