Hi everyone, had to post as this is so nice and brought tears to my eyes. DS has a friend (M) who's birthday is coming up. His mom called me yesterday and said M was deciding what to do for his kids party and just wants to invite one kid (my ds).
Isn't that nice, I was worried he would be exluded from parties not be the only one invited. She is taking them to chuckie cheese for drinks and to play and then to her house for safe cupcakes.
I have ok'd the cupcakes and trust her to be prepared with epi.
So ds is trilled he gets to go to a party and eat the same cupcakes, etc. and so happy his friend thinks so much of him.
This little boy is such a good influence on my ds, super nice, very compassionate to everyone. What a great friend for my little PA'er to have.
Had to share as it is a good feeling for once about his pa.

That is a very sweet story. I'm so happy for your son!
We had DS party one year at Chucky Cheese, and ended up in emergency. He ate salad thinking it was safe. He had an ana. reaction. While we were at emerg. my husband spoke to manager trying to figure out what had caused the problem. It turned out the sunflower seeds that are at the salad bar, can have peanut trace. So what happened was, someone had used the sunflower scoop for the salad and left it in the salad - DS used it to scoop salad up , ate it and had an ana. reaction. We have never gone back since.
So please make sure he will not be eating anything while Chucky Cheese without checking first.
Thanks Mama for the heads up. They are not eating there but I will make sure and mention to the mom just in case. We have been there a couple of times but never had the salad, just the crappy pizza.;
