Peanut-Free/Nut-Free Directory

Awhile ago, there was a link for a allergy friendly store where you could buy the energy bars that are peanut free. Does anyone remember the link? I thought it was mentioned in the off topic heated discussion about vending machines in hospitals.
What are those bars called? Alleren?
I wanted to order some and now cannot find the link.
Thanks

I believe I compared prices between both web sites and they were comparable.
I like them because they seem more nutritious, less sugary than something like Nutrigrain bars, once you get used to the bird-seed texture. I've come across a stash of them in my carry on bag months later and they still tasted fine.
I order the variety box.

Yes, those are the Bars. I kept searching for alleren bars.
Somehow, Corvalis Mom, I knew you would be the one with the answer. You always remember this stuff. You must be like my DH with the mind of a steel trap!!!!!
Thank you, I just ordered 2 varieties and we'll see how it goes.
They taste OK. They are not cookie like (like a Nutri Grain bar) they are more seedy like a Rice Krispie bar texture which is nice since they they don't get smooshed as easily. DD did not like the chocolate.
hiya - I don't think I'm the one who found them originally (or was I?)
Anyhoot - if you go to their website, you can call and buy a sample pack for $5 shipping. I did that, I liked the raisin and the chocolate chip. They are "ok", certainly not a granola bar or all gooey like other energy bars. However, they are filling and do give me energy. I eat 1 with a piece of fruit before volleyball, works great!
Right now they are having a special on their website for ordering and free shipping. Also, if you order the sample pack then you get a "free shipping" coupon. It may seem like a lot ($83 canadian, $74 US), but you get 64 BARS! With free shipping it makes it less/comparable to energy bars you can get in grocery store.

My child eats these, mainly because they are nut free as well as soy and wheat/gluten free. They don't even remember the taste of the Nutrigrain bars or granola bars (oops), since they had a peanut allergy back then but was always ok. They do have a bunch of seeds in them, but on my child's limited diet, they eat these. Also another company who is peanut free is Enjoy Life and they make a cocoa loco and very berry bar that look more like a nutrigrain bar. I don't think it is intended for an energy bar, but they are nut free. I used to buy them at Miss Robens Allergy Grocer until my Vitamin Cottage started carrying them, not all carry the same items though, check first.

I ordered them and received them on Tuesday. DS loved them. I think he loved that there was an "energy bar" that he can eat.
He liked the chocolate chip, didn't care for the apple one which I figured would be the case and ordered it anyway. He ended up giving part of them to his teacher who has a wheat allergy.

If he does really like them, it might be worth buying the 5 cases to get free shipping. I know that a big wad of money up front...but when you work out how much per bar from the total cost (shipping included) it's a nice savings. I've done that and in the end it's nice to save the money.

Adrienne,
How do you call them? I can't find a number anywhere on the website, nor do I see anything about a 64 bar multi-pack. I would love if my kids like these. I hate all the junk snack food out there.

hmmm...seems in the past week they've changed their store front, and no longer list their sample policy, or the cases!
On the Contact Us page, you can give your email/telephone number for them to call you.
Maybe they in a production low or something?

EDITED to add that I just went to Allergy Grocer and they list all Allerenergy bars as 'out of stock' --- so it seems they are in a production low.

I have no idea how they taste but have thought of ordering some for an emergency kit.
I assume these are the ones?
