A large variety of Chapman's Ice Cream in Canada is safe for people with nut allergies.
I was so excited the other day when I saw there Lactose Free Ice Cream (I have one child who is lactose intolerant and can not eat regular Ice Cream). I was very disappointed to discover that this special ice cream is labelled "May Contain".
When I called I received a message back that said they do not have plans to change their production lines to make this line of ice cream safe for nut allergies.
Please help by contacting them at their web page http://www.chapmans.ca/
or calling their 1 800 number.

I am editing out my entire post because I misunderstood, and boy do I feel stupid. I thought you meant *may contain dairy*
Actually, I have previously called Chapman's about the Sorbet. We don't have milk allergy or intolerance here, but I need a safe sherbert or sorbet to make a non-alcohol drink we make every Christmas. I'll see if DH remember what brand we used this year.

Chapman's currently have a new commerical that states that they listen to comsumers and have changed their products accordingly. Maybe you should call them again and remind them of their current advertising for their products.
Chapman's now have Lactose Free and Nut Free Sorbet!!
Hope the following link works.
