Just wanted to recommend an excellent book I've finished reading:

"Healthy Homes in a Toxic World",by Breecher and Linde, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 1992 (ISBN 0-471-54024-2)

Topics range from indoor air pollution, allergies, lead, emfs, noise... A great reference book.
