Hi to all. my son austin will be turning 1 next thursday. as far as we know, he is allergic to peanuts-he tested 3+ on his skin test only a few days after a horrible reaction of hives and swelling, as well as difficulty breathing when he was accidentally exposed to peanut butter at daycare. this was in feb of this year. i am still pretty torn up about his allergy and am in the process of educating myself to the best of my ability. this web site has been a wonderful resource and a great emotional support to let me know that there are others out there who have experienced this! i have been reading now for months, and today i finally decided to make a post and join the peanut allergy family!! you are a great support system!

Hey to all! I have a 4 yr old son who has peanut, dairy, wheat, beef and orange allergies. He was diagnosed at the age of 10 months after having a bad reaction to a cereal. He will be starting kindergarten in the fall and I am scared to death. On top of his allergies he has severe asthma that only seems to be getting worse with age. I feel so alone, noone seems to take this seriously. I am doing my best to be as safe as possible but he his starting to question these allergies and wanting to try certain things that he has never eaten. I am scared that one day he will try because he truly doesn't understand.
