Good News for one PA person

In my family, three of us developed food allergies as adults. All three include peanut as one of their allergens.

My sister developed pa in her 40's (reacted to and tested positive). She outgrew them in her 50's. Her reactions to peanuts were always just a few hives.

She also outgrew her allery to - tomato and green pepper.

She still has her allergy to soy - which is the one she reacted to the worst.

She is now eating pb regularly. So, I gave her and her hubby a taste of Peabutter to see if they thought it was close. They both said it was very close.

fyi - my sister did NOT avoid trace amounts of the three allergens that she can now eat.

That is great news AnnaMarie.

Maybe you are next. That would be even better news. Every time I see a Sesame seed I think about you.

Thanks for the nice wish Peg. I've never before heard of an adult onset outgrowing it.

Of the three in my family, I'm glad it's my sister that had this wish granted. She has multiple fa's - and that's just so hard to live with.
