Does anyone eat at Gilligan's Restaurant in South Carolina? There's one in Mt. Pleasant and two or three in other parts of the state.

I was told that their hush puppies are fried in peanut oil.
I've eaten there, but only the steamed shrimp.

Any comments or experiences with this restaurant?

I don't know about the Peanut Oil, but I'm sure you can call and ask them. Everything I've had is good.They also have a room in the right hand side as you go in the door for large groups. BTW, the hush puppies rival any I've ever had.
