Ok As I went to the grocery store today, I go by the baby food section. (my son still eats some of the fruit, etc) There are some new Gerber finger foods out. Well Lucas wants them so I pick up the can and began reading. As to my amazement it read MAY CONTAIN PEANUT AND NUT PRODUCTS! Oh I just about went through the roof at Krogers.
Is this safe now for my child to eat, NO!
Well I am going to call Gerber and make sure that It is processed on another line. Because if it isn't he will no longer be eating Gerber. We will go to Heinz.
Has anyone else ran across this?
Tina

I just thought I'd bring it up so you could see what other people have to say about it. No need to be sorry.
From Australia...PA/NA 4 yo daughter.
This is actually not surprising to me. I ate Gerber's as a child, and have suspected that that is the reason I have a PA/TNA. Avoid this.
Just bringing up the thread for e-mom.

I think what you saw are those new wheels, right? I already called Gerber and lodged a complaint about them. I was told that they are run on a separate line but in a shared facility, hence the warning but all other Gerber products are safe. I did get a follow up call to my complaint and I just told the woman how dissapointed I am because I have trusted Gerber. I even went down the list of all of the Gerber products my son eats. She typed all of the information into the computer and that was that.
