someone posted about this at another board. At BK the allergen list only says that the caramel sauce, ham omelet sandwich, croutons and desserts may contain traces of peanuts/tree nuts. Well in their ingredients list it also says the fish sandwich is made on shared lines with peanut products (possible tree nut too) and there are a lot of fried foods that are fried in the same oil as the fish sandwich so they could be risky too. Also it says on yet another ingredient list that the crispy onion is also a 'may contain' for nuts.

And I just want to say-I hate the stupid popup ads on this site and it's the biggest reason that I don't come here much anymore. :(

The chicken tenders have a processed in the same plant warning now as well. The manager of a local BK pointed that out to me today. He assured me that the french fries are cooked in their own vat alone and the oil isn't recycled but what about the frying baskets- same ones are used for fries, onion rings, chicken etc.

Gale-thanks for sharing the information. I was not aware and we occasionally eat at BK AND get the nuggets. Oh my!

I also don't get any pop up ads. Is it only when you come to this site? Perhaps there is an issue with your computer, a virus, or something? Do you have a pop up blocker installed? What sort of ads are you getting?

They disabled those popups a long time ago-probably shortly after I posted that. It wasn't a traditional popup in a separate window like other sites. It was a keyword type ad-if you moused (accidentally or on purpose) over certain words in the text a small box would open up right on the page with a ad on it and I think you just mouse away from it and it would close. You see it on blogs sometimes too. I complained here in several places (one of my specialties :D) and they emailed me to let me know they were removing the keyword ads.

Here is an article about it that, curiously, has keyword ads right in it. If you mouse over any of the underlined words you'll see what I mean.

FWIW I did have adblock (which is mentioned in that article) at one time but I had problems with it blocking things like youtube videos so I removed it. I do use a traditional popup blocker and always have.
