I live in Tucson. And I have been trying to find a peanut free soy butter that is reasonably priced since Trader Joes stopped making one.

I found out that Walmart makes one... Great Value Peanut Free Smooth Soy Butter.

But the stores here don't carry it. One of the store assistant managers said that I could order it by the case, and it would be $2.97/jar for 12 jars.

I don't want to store that many jars... afraid they could go bad sitting around so long.

I would like to find someone else in Tucson who would be willing to split a case with me... for the retail price.

Please let me know if you are interested. I love soy butter, but the other stores in town that carry it, charge nearly twice that... I would be perfectly happy with the Great Value brand... and I hope you would be too.

Please write. I am online usually about two times per week.

Thanks.

Abi,

We don't use soy butter as DS also has a soy allergy.

But wanted to ask if you've tried sunbutter? It' sunflower seed butter and Trader Joe's also carries that to the best of my knowledge.

It's a least a good alternative until you are able to get your soy butter worked out.

Abi:

I am one of the owners of The SoyNut Butter Company. We were the exclusive manufacturer of Trader Joe's Soybean Butter. Our brand, I.M. Healthy SoyNut Butter(Original Creamy or Chunky, exactly what you were buying from TJ's)is available in Tucson grocery stores. Many Trader Joe's customers are now buying our foodservice tubs to realize a similar price point. The tubs are easy to use and have a long shelf life. Guess what! The Walmart Market in Tucson, at 22nd and Craycroft has decided to carry the Great Value Peanut Free Soybutter! They now have it on the shelf. And it tastes great.

I got them to carry it by calling the Great Value product hotline number... and they called the store manager, and got the process going. Originally I was told they wouldn't make room on the shelf, but they finally did. :)

Great news in Tucson for those with Peanut Allergies!
