Hello, I am a candy buyer for Kmart and wanted to let the forum know that we have peanut-free Holiday chocolates available at Kmart. We've got two sizes of Santas, a Nutcracker and a Snowman available...all perfect for stocking stuffers. During and after the season, the vendor, Merlin Candies, will always forward letters to me that they get from customers saying how excited they were to come across a peanut free option in novelty Christmas candy. So I just want to put it out there because it seems that people don't know this type of stuff is available.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for coming here to share this information.
The website for Merlins is here http://www.merlincandies.com/
Where they state that they are in fact peanut free. They are not however tree nut free.
"At Merlin’s our products are manufactured in a Peanut free facility. We realize how prevalent these allergies have become and are pleased that we can offer safe products to our concerned customers.
We are not quite totally “nut free”, as we make one item for Christmas that contains pecans. It is produced in separate molds at a specific time of year. But, we are totally peanut free which is stated on the back of all of our packaging."

Wow - I didn't know that. I'll have to check them out for this holiday season.
