Hello all,
Just received this email from Sensodyne and wanted to share it:
Dear Ms. D,
We have received your e-mail message regarding Sensodyne® toothpaste.
Unfortunately, some of our products do contain peanut oil derivatives and the other variants we cannot guarantee that they do not contain dairy.
We appreciate your taking the time to contact us.
Respectfully,

I had used regular Sensodyne before. Do they not understand how dangerous this is? I had just bought Proenamal and now I'm for sure bringing it back. What I'd like to know is why this is not on their packaging. One of my goals is to, in the next few years or so, develop a petition stating that all cosmetics, foods, dentistry items, etc. must clearly state what is in their "flavorings", "natural flavors" and "spices" on their labels and that non-food items should also have, in bold print, a listing of possible allergens. Sorry for the rant but I thought everyone on the board should see this!

We use Tom's of Maine and have not had any problems.

Yes, I just bought a bunch of those. They were very clear and helpful about their ingredients. Thanks.
How stupid are these people? Seriously, how could they think not bothering to put a cross-contamination label on is a good idea?
I had a sleep over at my friend's house a couple weekends ago and forgot to pack toothpaste, so I borrowed theirs. When I woke up my lips swollen, I had blisters on my tongue, my lips, and around my mouth. I had trouble breathing, sensitivity to light, and rash across my chest. We could figure out I could possibly be having reaction to. She uses sensodyne toothpaste. I just have to wonder...
I really just have to wonder about corporations that do things like this: What wrong with them? and, Do they enjoy lawsuits?
Thanks for bringing this our attention.
Also, I had reactions other white toothpastes, is this a common thing or am I possibly allergic to something else?
Wow, I'm sorry that happened to you. These companies are crazy and it gets me so angry as well. Now when I go to the dentist I bring my own toothpaste.
I would never have thought that toothpaste would contain anything with peanuts.
And the reason I use J/A/S/O/N organic orange/citrus mint toothpaste is this and the fact that sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate is dangerous as well. A product that has a sudsing agent that is not needed and dries skin out, causes adult acne and rashes, is not for me. I will only use Burt's Bees and J/A/S/O/N for bath and body.
And I appreciate the flag on the Sensodyne.
I have multiple food, drug, inhaled, and contact allergies. Allergic to practically every food and every antibiotic possible. Also have mannose-binding lectin protein deficiency. Undergoing allergy shots for Timothy grass family and doing better overall. Gluten free, peanut free, mushroom free due to anaphylaxsis.
