Ocean Spray Dried Cranberries
Hi; I've started the process of vetting foods I can feed our PN/TN/Egg allergic one year old. I received this recently from Ocean Spray about an inquiry I sent regarding their dried cranberries. I wanted to share this with you. Not sure if this means they are safe or not....
"Thanks for contacting us over here at Ocean Spray, where we pride ourselves for more than 80 years of taking great care in harvesting and manufacturing our products. It’s nice to hear from people who are as into cranberries as much as we are.
Most of our products are produced in facilities and equipment that are free of nuts, dairy, and eggs. In addition, the production equipment is cleaned and sterilized between each production run. Thus, there is no risk of cross contamination between any of our products.
We do manufacture two product lines at separate facilities from our standard products. We are currently marketing a selection of Trail Mixes, which contain mixed nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate as well as Ocean Spray® Chocolate Covered CRAISINS® which are produced in a facility that contains nuts, dairy and soy. As always, Ocean Spray recommends that consumers with food intolerances or allergies check the ingredient statements on all products.
Thanks for choosing Ocean Spray. Be sure to visit us again sometime at OceanSpray.com, where you can get all the latest information on our products, find delicious recipes, and join the Cranberry Club for special news and offers. And don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any more questions or comments. Or if you just want to say hello, we’d like that too.
Tastes Good. Good For You."
