As far as I know, I'm not allergic to anything. All my allergy testing came back normal. But to be safe (my aunt is pa), we're still planning on going to an allergist. I just don't know when yet. I'm getting it done because I've had a lot of stomach problems and we're trying to rule out a food allergy/IBS. Until then, I was just told to stay away from PN/TN.
Anyway, the other night I made some Betty Crocker cake. I've eaten the yellow cake without before, but this time everyone wanted chocolate (triple chocolate fudge, AFAIR. Someone threw the box out last night). I couldn't pick between Pilsburry and BC, so I ended up with BC.
Should I be anymore wary of consuming their chocolate products than I am their other ones? Chocolate, for me = !!!
We put them in cup cake tins and made cup cakes instead. I had 2 small ones and was okay. I went back for a third and realised I didn't feel too hot. My heart was racing a little and my mouth felt really dry.
But here's the thing: I have panic attacks. I kind of eat one thing, wait 20 minutes, if I'm okay, I can try more. Then I wait for the hour mark, then I just keep aware for the next 8. It's kind of sucky but I've seen my aunt have an reaction before and it wasn't pretty!
I really want some more of those dumb things, but I'm kind of wary now. So, back to my original question: if it's chocolate, should I be more wary, regardless of the "good reputation"?
ETA: I also noticed I NEVER see a PN/TN label on any of their cake or brownie mixes, so checked a pouch of PNB cookies and saw it. I'm glad they actually do list for that lol, but PNB cookies is a little more obvious I guess than some cakes.
