I see ads for Sunbutter on this website. All I can think of is who would buy it? If you have a PA things that smell or taste like peanuts are revolting. In Japan there is something called Kinako (dryed soybean power) that is peanut free but taste, and smells like peanuts. It is one of the worst things I have ever eaten (and in Japan I have eaten some horrible things).

So what is the point of sunbutter? How does it even stay in buisness?

We don't eat Sunbutter, but we do eat peanut free almond butter. My son, who has the allergies, likes it if I put in on a sandwich. But we buy it mainly for the rest of us who don't have an allergy, but can't risk exposing my son. (we kept PB in our house after we were told about his allergy, but once he reacted to a kiss from my husband we banned all PB in our house.)

Hi
I agree Sun Butter is not necessarily for the peanut allergic person but rather the people who aren't and want to keep safe. I eat it on english muffins. They serve it in the cafe at school instead of PB&J. I like it. It has the same nutritional value as well.

OK that makes sense. Yeah that is a good way to be safe in your house.

Yep we use it because my older kids wanted a safe alternative to pbj. And my peanut ana son actually enjoys it on a sandwich as well. I have used it to make chocolates at holidays for other people to eat so ds didn't have to miss out. The ones that kill me are the sunflower butters that may contain peanuts, lol.

I can't stand sunbutter, but I can't stand sunflower seeds either. And it tasted too much like peanut butter to me and I'm fatally allergic to peanuts and peanut butter.

However, I love Nutella which is the chocolate hazelnut spread; soy nut butter; and Blue Diamond Almond Butter with honey.
