Vita Food Products, Inc. is recalling “Elf Branded Herring in Sour Cream” due to undeclared wheat.

The product was distributed in retail stores in California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.

The product is in two sizes: 12-oz. with UPC 0-73302-22111-4 and 8-oz. with UPC 0-73302-23111-3, both with “Best if Used Before” 12/APR/10 or earlier.

For a refund of the purchase price of the product or to ask questions, consumers may contact the company at (800) 989-8482.
