I just flew SW Airlines yesterday from Cleveland to BWI and back for business and had the best experience. I am a fearful flyer and have a severe peanut allergy. They were great. They gave me passes that I handed to the flight attendents that said I had a peanut allergy and they served pretzels on the flight instead. I will definitely fly them again.
I have also had great experiences with SW as well. When you check in, you can inform them that you have a peanut allergy and they will give you what is called a "peanut dust form" to hand to the flight attendant once you board. They will also notify the flight beforehand as well, and once all the passengers are on they will announce that it will be a "non peanut flight." Depending on the airport as well, they will let you board first.
I have had a very negative experience with Continental, a couple years ago when I took a school trip to Europe. They said that they couldn't do anything not serving nuts on the flight. When my dad and I mentioned what Southwest did, they said that they had never heard about it, and no airline did that. Unfortunately they did serve peanuts on that flight. My dad was livid. People do not realize how dangerous that is for people with severe peanut allergies, like me. They just seem to blow it off. But I am glad that Southwest has made such strides in this issue.

That is great to hear. I have heard SW will make accommodations. I wondered if you notifiend them of your allergy at the time the reservation was made so they could flag it for speacial accommodations, or if they were able to make the snack changes at the gate. Thanks for sharing!
