Our 7 1/2 year old DD will be carrying her own epi's next year at school (for 3rd grade), but I would like to start looking NOW for something.
Currently at school her aide, who is with her at ALL times, carries her epi pens/meds in a fanny pack (but the nurse has her own meds for her). On the weekends and other times she is not at school she carries her own meds in a small Vera Bradley purse she carries across her chest and it has worked just fine. I think we need to look for an alternative for school, because the little purse might get in the way when she is busy at school. (we got the purse because she didn't like the "feel" of the fanny pack around her belly-picky girl)
Wanted to find out what other 6/7/8 year olds carry their meds in at school.
Thanks for the help.

My girls carry the epi-pen pouch FAAN sells. They like that one because it is soft. They also have the epi-mates that they carry in their purse instead on the weekends if they prefer.

Once my son turned 5, he started carrying his EPI. I got the belt from MedicAlert.

This is what DD uses. It comes in floral fabrics, you can order a custom belt size, and it's very comfortable. Not as rugged as e-belt.

If she prefers a holster type carrier, I have used these to carry the kids epipens. I like them because they are a bit insulated.

Ours are the same as Momcat's first link. I agree it is not as rugged as some. But, it is comfortable, and they like it. I have had to repair tiny holes. We plan to sew new bottoms onto the belts this summer. Also, with the new cases epi's come in, we place those directly in these pouches instead of the cases that come with the pouch.

My 7 year old has a pretty purse from children's place where we put her red medical bag from faan. The teacher leaves the bag hanging right by the class door so everytime they leave the room, sam grabs the bag and takes it with her. She brings it wherever she goes and when she plays outside for recess, the aids hold it. We've been doing this for years with my older DD and it works like a charm.
At home they each have a 2nd purse which sits by our exit door. Anytime we leave the house they grab it befor exiting so we are so used to bringing it with us.
