EMT\'s can\'t carry Epi\'s in NJ?

An EMT friend of mine told me they can't carry epi's in their ambulances. They can give them if they're available or near the person. I've seen posts here about legislation allowing epi's on ambulances in other states. Does anyone from NJ know if there's anything in the works here? Or would anyone be interested in writing some letters with me? Maybe someone else can tell me where to begin my research?
