blood test results for a peanut allergy

Hi my name is Julie. Our son was diagnosed with a peanut allergy at the age of two after i get him peanut butter on today. He had a reaction where his face swelled up. Anyway. We recently had him retested, he is almost six now. His bood level came back 39.70. We were told he had a mild to moderate allergy to peanuts and were given an epipen when he was two. I asked her today what his level was when he was two. She stated 1.40. Now i dont understand these numbers and i also dont understand how he could go from a 1 to 39. Is he now severe? Do levels change with age and weight and what would a normal level be? If anyone has any information we would appreciate it! Thank you.
