Hey all, just in case some of you don't know. Dean's ice cream. I live in Indiana, so I am not sure where all this product is available. Anyway, I never buy ice cream. Well a few weeks ago I just thought I'd read labels of all the ice cream my local Meijer carries. Dean's is the only one who labels for peanuts!! Under the ingredients they even have a big peanut! Next to it, it says PEANUT ALERT!! This product may contain .....I was so very happy. My son loves ice cream, and we really just never have it. Well, we do now!! They have a ton of neat flavors, and a new line of "drumstick" like ice-cream cones. I haven't seen them in the store yet though..Enjoy!

Wow! Good for you to have found a safe ice cream! I have been searching for a safe ice cream without any luck! I am not familiar with Dean's...Do you have any contact info so that I can find out where I can purchase in my area? Thanks!

My son eats Dean's, and I've also noticed the peanut warning. Since they label for peanuts (and so prominently, with an actual picture of a peanut!) I feel safe choosing those flavors that don't carry the warning.

However, I doubt they have dedicated lines. I feel this product is "safe-enough" for us, but I know some people don't consider it safe unless it's from a dedicated line.
