I've been concerned about the skin care products that I use since my child is p/a and dairy allergic. Does anyone know of any "safe" cosmetics. So many things have nonspecific vegetable oils. I've seen Arachydal propionate (related to p/nuts?) in Chapstick and even found non-fat dry milk in foundation. It is causing me a lot of anxiety. I don't want to cause a reaction because I kiss my child or because my child touches my face. Any thoughts?

I use Johnson & Johnsons (1-800-526-3967)baby lotion. It's hypoallergenic. I've never had any problems with it. I have also used Baby Magic (1-800-228-7408) creamy baby oil and aloe. It's also hypoallergenic. Both numbers are toll free if you want to call to ask them any questions.

I also want to point out as a couple of members had mentioned in earlier posts. The two stores I know you should stay away from are Body and Bathworks and The Body Shop. These stores contain many, many items that have peanut oils or nut oils in their products. I was trying to buy a hand lotion (I have very dry hands due to over washing them). Every item I picked up had some sort of nut product in it. The employee was very nice to try to help me find a product that did not contain nuts but unfortunately they didn't have anything I could use for my hands.

You also have to check shampoos, too.

Hope this helps!!

I realized that after I posted you wanted to know what lotion YOU should use.

I use Fragrance Free St. Ives Collagen and Elastin for Dry Skin. It's hypoallergenic and doesn't contain any peanut/nut oils. I also use St. Ives Alpha Hydroxy Facial Renewal Treatment Cream. My son has never reacted to my lotions.

Hope this helps!
