Company asking people to send tons of peanuts to CBS

Nutsonline is asking people to send peanuts to CBS to protest the cancellation of "Jericho." Interesting idea, but not for the poor guy in the receiving department. I hope nobody there is allergic. If you get a chance, read the history of this company, it's interesting.

I know I sound like a stick in the mud, but this kind of thing always strikes me as trivial and bizarre. It's TV, for God's sake.
You couldn't mobilize so many people to get together and send food to some Appalachian kid or family starving to death. Or get everyone as riled over something that really matters, like allowing pedophiles back out after a few months or something.
It's really weird. I'm sure there is some great psychological theory explaining it.

Good point - for instance, the number of votes (of course many multiples) for American Idol versus the votes in the last presidential election.

cbs did send the nuts overseas to our soldiers fighting in Iraq...that is what I heard...
