I use clorox wipes on the potty chair that I carry in my SUV for my PA DD. Normally, I take it inside the house and then rinse the clorox residue off when I get home from an outing but yesterday I had to stop 2 times for her so the residue was still on the potty. Yesterday, she had a hive/rash/light pink area on her butt (1 side only) that was about as big as a dollar. Fo course I went into a panic and went to the EMS station. I did NOT think it was pn related at all because there was not a possibility of it. I can't figure out what it could have been. SHe did not sit on anything except her potty chair and in her car seat. She ran around outside with us and did not come into contact with anything at all. I gave her benadryl and today it is better but there still is a outline of the rash area. Any ideas???? Don't you think it had to have been contact since it was only on that one area?
I have used the wipes on my PA son's potty as well, and have not had a reaction, but Clorox can be harsh. I have also used Lysol wipes without a reaction. However, I think the other poster had a better idea which is to use baby wipes instead. I am going to do this from now on.
I HOPE Clorox Wipes are OK-- otherwise I'll NEVER get my PA/TNA husband to clean!
My husband has a severe peanut, tree nut, and coconut allergy.

The clorox can be harsh, since the seat was obviously clean, I'd say you're probably right thinking a contact reation to the clorox. I wipe the seat off with a regular babywipe after the clorox wipes, so faar my kids haven't had a problem.
