I am in my twenties and was recently diagnosed with PA. However I love chocolate, but also love to shop at health food stores. I purchased a package of SUNSPIRE Vegan Carob Chips, hoping it would be a safe and healthier alternative to chocolate. I called the company to check and left a message and someone called back within 5 minutes. She told me that the different varities of carob and chocolate chips were manufactured in a peanut-free environment, but also wanted me to know that they are shipped and stored where peanut butter is stored, however the peanut butter is sealed and boxed. Since I am an adult and my allergy does not appear to be as severe as many others this was good enough for me. I would reccommend anyone interested check with the company themselves bc I wouldn't want to be responsible for any reactions! bc as we all know products change ingredients and manufacturing processes all the time. Just thought somebody out there might want to know anyway! Lisa
