The Maryland General Assembly is currently in session and there are three bills that will affect people with food allergies. Please go to www.mlis.senate.state.md.us. House Bills 34, 43 and 44 are being introduced by Delegate Joan Stern. Please contact her office voicing support at 410-841-3037 or via email stern_joan@senate.state.md.us.
I'm an employee of the Maryland General Assembly and also parent of a 20 month old with peanut, egg, milk and strawberry allergies.
Thank you!
Dee Anne
I am with a group of students at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health who have chosen to advocate on behalf of HB 44 for one of our courses in public policy. Any suggestions on who we should network with in Maryland? We're very interested in getting involved and have some great resources and expertise in our group.

I'll try to set up links to these bills. HB34 is about display of food allergy posters, HB43 about administration of epinephrine, HB44 about labeling at restaurants.
