For those who are dairy-allergic and need to take calcium (or who take it for other reasons), we have finally found a product that tastes great-not at all chalky: TUMS Cool Relief Rainbow Sherbet flavor. It is dairy, egg, peanut and tree nut free. (Some TUMS flavors do contain dairy.) DD actually enjoys her calcium now.

That's great!!! My ds is two...do you think he is old enough? I don't know how hard those are to chew.

KarenD- They're easier to chew and smaller than regular calcium tablets. If you think they are a choking hazard, I guess you could break them in half. They are minty. My three year olds call any mint flavor "spicy" and refuse to use mint toothpaste, so I don't know if your little one would like the taste. (This is assuming that your child's doctor has recommended a calcium supplement .)

I do not mean to butt in, but do make sure your Ped recommends it, as is stated. I asked at one time, simply because my dd was refusing milk, and our ped cautioned us against calcium supplemets under a certain age due to a risk of kidney problems and especially stones. Just thought I would mention that, with regards to children and calcium supplementation. becca

Will definately check with Pediatrician first. He does get quite a bit from Orange juice and other products I buy for him.
