Aged brain can't remember, according to the Gerber school of thought, which vegetables you're supposed to introduce first into your baby's diet. After you've done the introduction of all of the different cereals.
Is it the orange line (carrots, squash, etc.) or is it the green line (peas, beans, etc.).
Not that Gerber (or Heinz) has changed their *rules* over the years, but I'm wondering if the green ones are the first to begin with, if there could possibly be any co-relation with introducing legumes first.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks and best wishes!

I got this off another allergy board about 2 yrs when my second child was an infant:
"6-9 months- GRAINS and CEREALS- Rice, Millet (Avoid Milupa and Nestle infant cereals because they contain milk)
VEGETABLES-- All cooked- Yams, sweet potatoes, squash (all types), carrots, beets, broccoli, potatoe, green beens, cabbage. FRUITS-- Pear, peach, banana, apricot, nectarine, blueberry MEATS- Lamb, Turkey DAIRY-- only formula if necessary NUTS, SEEDS, Other--- none
9-12 months--- GRAINS AND CEREALS-- Barley, rye, oats
VEGETABLES-- Asparagus, avacado, cauliflower, brussel sprouts FRUITS-- plum, prune, pineapple, grape, apple (cooked), cranberry, raisins MEATS-- chicken, veal, beef
DAIRY-- only formula if necessary, NUTS etc-- none except vegetable oils in formula if necessary.
12-24 months--- CEREALS, GRAINS-- Corn, wheat, other grains VEGGIES--- green pea, spinach, tomatoe, celery, cucumber, lettuce, onion, garlic, lima beans, broad beans (other legumes, including soy) Any raw vegetable. FRUITS-- citrus fruits, berries, strawberry, raspberry, others- melon, mango, fig, date, cherry, any raw fruits, MEATS-- ham, pork, fish, (Egg-avoid), DAIRY-- yogurt, homogenized milk, white cheese, cottage cheese, NUTS etc, --seed oils, canola, safflower, sunflower"
Looking at this now, I would definitely not agree with parts of the 12-24 months one, but from I can remember the pediatrician told me to start with green vegetables first and of course I did not because my oldest is allergic to peas and we have stayed away from all legumes. Don't know if this helps, but maybe a start.
If you go to groups@yahoo.com and then to pofak (parents of food allergic kids)then go to the area that is marked files and if you scroll down you will find an entire list of foods to follow for children who either already have food allergies or may have them because their siblings have them. I followed this for my 18 month old and still follow a lot of it. This was the best that I could find and it is from a medical article or journal. If you can't find it e-mail me personally from my profile and I can see if I can pull it up this week and send it to you.
Here's the address to the article Danielle is referring to:

We did "greens" first, because once they tried the "yellows" and fruit they did not want the greens!!
