My DS will be starting Pre-K this year (his first time away from me). I could not find a peanut-free preschool anywhere around us (North Carolina). Anyway, he will be starting in 2 weeks and his new teacher called me today to talk to me about his food allergies. Well, after talking to her I feel so great about this year at school...her niece has food allergies and she has even administered an Epi-pen in the past. The school is not peanut-free but she will make the class peanut-free and send a note home to the parents. She was soooooooo willing to help us and definitely wanted to make sure that my son felt safe. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful women as my sons teacher this year.
Thanks Debbie!! Yes, I think we should def get together. Have a great weekend and yes...Peanut free...LOL!
Good for you! I hope it all goes smoothly. It is so hard to send them off food allergies aside, and it is nice to have a little less worry about the food.

That is just fantastic! I am so happy for you. This will make this year easier for you and your son. Way to go!
Peanut free is not always safe anyway. My son had his one and only school reaction while attending the one and only peanut free school. A good teacher can make all the difference! My younger son doesn't start for 2 weeks either. We should get together.
Brandon is reading over my shoulder and says have a good peanut free weekend!
