HI-
I just got home from the allergist and the only good thing that came out of the visit was a brochure for Medical Identification Charms made by a compay called Miss Brooke's Co. They are called Aware Bear and Friends, there is 15 different designs. A great alternative to Medic Alert, alot more fun for kids to wear.
You can find them at http://www.missbrooke.com

They are really adorable. The only problem I have is that there is no number for paramedics to call for additional information. Another problem I have is that you can't list more allergies or diagnosis than the ones listed. My child is allergic to more than just peanuts. So I think I will just stick to the MedicAlert. Maybe he could wear it along with his MedicAlert bracelet.

Naomi,
I see your point about the 800 number, but the brochure i got says that they custom engrave multiple diagnoses, diagnoses other than those listed, names, phone numbers etc. for an additional charge.

My question is do you think that medical personnel would recognize it as easily??

Medic alert is pretty traditional, could they mistaken it for just a necklace or bracelet?

Just a thought!
