Tell me what you think. This was posted on our community parenting website. Sigh. What I get from this is confused and also -- my point to the preschools that PB is not recommended for toddlers anyway kind of gets taken away -- but if they are right, then whatever helps.

I thought this article was very interesting, but I do not believe the theory that everyone is born with a clean slate and early exposures determines allergies. I feel many people are born with specific genes which play a part in ones chances of becoming allergic to foods or environment. I also believe there is an unknown substance in developed countries, such as chemicals, vaccines, or other medicines which negatively impacts vulnerable individuals and causes their body to react to everyday things.

I hope all these studies do find a way to turn off the allergic responses. That would be a miracle. It sounds like they are on to something.
