There was a WSJ article that was recently posted about Tanox and Xolair clinical trials. There was a statement in the article that b/c Xolair had been used safely for so long for asthma that it can easily be prescribed "off label" for peanut allergy under the assumption that it will work like Tanox did. Just wondering if any of you do this and do you think it works? Thanks!

DS uses Xolair - he qualified because of his bad asthma, but the food allergies were a contributing factor in the decision to use it.

We've had great success both allergy and asthma wise! No known exposures to PN or TN, but all his other food and enviromental allergies have practically disappeared.
