I want to make granola bars but have no idea if there is a safe wheat germ so I may leave this ingredient out unless someone has had some luck with it.
I have used up the chicken stock that I have saved from cooking and now I need some for a recipe. Does anyone use chicken stock from a can?
Any ideas?
We have also used that brand of wheat germ a lot w//o a problem. I am not sure if I called them or not...
Kretchsmer wheat germ is safe they said.
I have been told that Campbell's is really good about labeling their soups, so we've used their canned chicken broth. So far, no problems.
I believe Hodgson Mills makes a wheat germ and they do not process peanuts or tree nuts at their plant.
I know this is a little off topic, but can you share your granola bar recipe?
BTW, we have also used swanson chicken broth with no problems, never had a problem with any campbell's soups, and use the wheat germ (brand name starts with a K) many times with no problems.

I have not called but use Kretschmer Wheat Germ (a Quaker Oats company) and Swanson Chicken Broth...no problems that I can see...
