I would like to update our action plan for my son. that'smetrying referenced a great one on www.allergy.org.au I like it because it is simple to read, eye catching, and has diagrams showing how to use the epi-pen. Unfortunately, it is a pdf file and I am not able to edit it. I would like to add more symptoms to watch for and make it specific for our location (the one's on this web site are specific for Australia and New Zealand). Does anyone have a similar action plan which is editable that they would be willing to e-mail? Thank you.

I have used the one from this site: http://www.foodallergy.org/actionplan.pdf for the past several years and it is great! I did find when I looked it up for you that it has changed somewhat since I last downloaded it... not sure I like this new one or not. The old one listed the different symptoms, but did not specify what medication to use for what. Not sure I like the fact that you have to specify...

As in what if for example my child had vomiting, hives and swollen lips/eyes and I had checked benedryl for each of these areas- but if he were having 3 areas involved I would want the Epi Pen Jr used KWIM?

Anyway... here it is.

This is also a pdf... it should be editable but if not you should be able to copy and paste it into notepad or MS Works. If you need help let me know and I'll do it for you and e-mail it to you.

Try one of the downloads at Food Allergy Initiative.

They have some plans that are in Microsoft Word.
