This PeanutAllergy.Com SupportGroup Board is for everyone to use. It is for many things. It can be used to announce meetings, find speakers and information. It is for local support groups to communicate with their members, and the rest of us. It is for those looking for a support group or those already in one. It helps us all offer each other support.
All support groups that deal with peanut allergy can use this board. The concept is for all of us in the peanut allergy community to work together. We now have these boards to communicate with each other and everyone else. Don't forget that many people look at these boards (media etc.) and you have a strong voice here, so post what you would like others to know, post questions, and network with each other. Have discussions, give and recieve moral support, organize the work that you want to do,etc.

Most of all keep each other safe.

Stay safe,

(private boards are also available to peanut allergy support groups and can be passworded) We hope that all info from all groups will be put on the PeanutAllergy.Com public boards and website etc. so we all can benefit from it, but if you want or need boards that are not viewed by the public just let us know and we can set it up with you.)

Please search to see if there is a thread that relates to your post. For example all 50 states in the U.S. are here, so if you were looking for something in a specific state, you should post under that thread.
If you are in another country and there is not a thread started for your country, start a thread for the province etc. you are in, for example "Nova Scotia". Then start your text in the tread with where where you want to discuss, for example in the Nova Scotia thread, you might want to start off

Halifax

then write what you want to let everyone know, for example. looking for local support groups near Halifax, Canada...

Hello, this is Chris from PeanutAllergy.Com

Recently we have been asked to post contact information for support groups which want others to know about them, and I want to remind everyone that we set up this site the way we have so you can post information on you own which you want others to see. This also saves us a lot of work so we can instead focus on other very important work.
(If you are not able to post for any reason do not hesitate to send me an e mail and we will help you, we want as much information as possible available to help others)

>>>

Post what you would like others to see about your group (or a group you know about) on the "Support Group" Discussion Board. This also shows us what information, such as contact information, you would like to be public so we will know. If you post on the board then in the future we can take the information from there to let others know. Send me an e mail once you post (let me know if you have any problems posting the information also) so I can file in our data base what you wrote. Be sure to give a contact e mail or phone number etc. which will last long into the future so others finding your information will be able to contact the group.

Try to post in such a way as to keep things organized. It will help others find it easier in the future. Example: If you are posting about a group in New York, U.S.A., please try not to start a new thread for New York unless there is not one already. (there is even a search feature on these boards to help you if you need it).

This is the same for all countries etc. Look for a thread on your area, if there does not appear to be a thread started yet for your area, please start one.

Example: You may want to start one with your state or province etc. and your country so others can find it easily. There are thousands of people from all over the world using this site. Peanut allergy does not have boarders.

I am glad you are using the boards to network with others!

The site is here for the peanut allergy community to use, so use it as much as you can. It is doing a lot and making a big difference.
