This month my husband and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary (yay!) and I have been busy scouring the web for traditional anniversary gifts and ideas to plan a memorable celebration for our milestone wedding anniversary.
There are many ways to celebrate each year of marriage. Some couples may choose to celebrate at home with family, while others plan a romantic getaway alone. Since our anniversary is on the 16th and I am due with our fourth child on the 28th of this month, we are staying close to home (and close to the hospital) for this year’s wedding anniversary celebration.
This year we have planned a celebration that embraces traditional anniversary gifts and symbols in a unique way, with the renewing of our vows as the highlight of our celebration.
Although we’re not necessarily giving traditional anniversary gifts to each other, we are using the age-old traditional anniversary gift list as inspiration for the color scheme of our celebration.
The colors we chose for our celebration are white and gray with a yellow accent. (Don’t you agree that yellow and gray are so classy and elegant together?)

The gray colors will represent the traditional anniversary gift of tin and aluminum, and the yellow color will represent the daffodil, a flower that symbolizes joyful love and renewal, and is the flower associated with the 10 year anniversary.
Going with a traditional theme doesn’t mean your celebration will be drab and boring. You can never go wrong following traditions, and with a little creativity you can put a new spin on an old tradition creating something uniquely your own that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
Whether you’re planning your own anniversary celebration, in need of help finding traditional anniversary gifts for family or friends, or just looking for a little traditional color inspiration for your celebration, this free printable of traditional gift ideas is the perfect tool to help you for years to come.
