Bella Monica Gluten-Free Pizza: A Product Review
As I mentioned in a previous post, I like to pick out a new allergy-friendly product at the grocery store every now and then. And one of my favorite things to taste test is pizza. It’s hard to find a really good gluten-free pizza.
This week I picked up a Bella Monica Gluten-Free Spinach Pizza in the frozen aisle.
I was drawn by the colorful packaging and the price (which was lower than others of a comparable size). Although small, the pizza could be split into two meals if paired with salad and fresh veggies.
The pizza’s texture was nice, crunchy and chewy at the same time. Overall, the taste was good. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this pizza.
With that said, I just didn’t feel like it was a guilty pleasure…the way one usually feels about pizza. I’ve yet to find a ready-made pizza from the frozen food aisle that reminds me of the gluten-filled pizzas of yesteryear, all though, Conte’s runs a very close runner-up!
My favorite pizzas to date are those that I make at home (with the help of Kinnikinnick or Arthur’s Gluten Free Pizza Mix) because they taste the most authentic and they are safe for my son to eat.
I’m on a mission to find the very best gluten, nut and peanut-free pizza!
What is your favorite allergy-friendly pizza and why?
